Roke Supports Romsey Opportunity Group with £9.5k Charitable Donation

Roke Manor Research has donated £9,528 to the Romsey Opportunity Group.

This amount represents all the funds raised by staff and matched Roke to help the group since January of this year. Roke is trying to raise enough funds to replace the old playground at the Appletree Centre, where the Romsey Opportunity Group is based.

2009-rog-donation.tnThe aim of the charity is to provide specialist play facilities and a stimulating environment for children from birth to school age with additional needs – physical, emotional, learning and behavioural. The significance of the charity was brought to Roke’s attention by Lyn Bird and Mavis Watts who run the Opportunity Group.

The cheque was presented by Anita Allott and the Caring Hands Team of Roke Manor Research.
