Shadow Defence Minister Reviews Roke's Defence Capabilities

Roke Manor Research was pleased to welcome Gerald Howarth, the Shadow Defence Minister, to their site in Romsey last month.

The tour included a demonstration of Roke’s electronic warfare suite, RESOLVE, which will soon be in service overseas. RESOLVE has been developed over several years and offers world leading on-the-march capability.

Mr Howarth also saw a demonstration of the latest cutting-edge video analysis techniques - the visual Moving Target Indicator (MTI) system. Visual MTI automatically detects and quantifies the movement of vehicles and people from a video stream taken from an air vehicle. Visual MTI can be used in a ground station to increase operator efficiency, or else be deployed onboard a UAV for increased autonomy.
