On joining Roke you will be enrolled on the IET accredited Roke Graduate Development Programme. Containing fourteen carefully designed modules combined with continuous mentoring, you’ll have the knowledge and capabilities needed to make a smooth transition from student to professional engineer. You'll also be given specialist training geared towards your career path and designed to enhance your individual skill set.
We typically take on 10-15 new graduates each year but competition is high with over 200 applicants each year. You will need a good honours degree in one of the following or related subjects:
- Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Systems Engineering
- Computer Science
- Mechanical Engineering
If you have completed, or are about to complete, a PhD or MSc in a relevant subject then we would also be pleased to hear from you.

- Willing to work at other locations if required
- Willing to relocate if necessary
You must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK. In order to obtain full security clearance, candidates should ideally be a British Citizen however you can hold another nationality and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
