Guy joined us while studying for his Masters (MEng) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Bristol.
Having demonstrated during his placement the high calibre of work we seek, he was invited back to join us after he completed his course.

"I applied for a Summer Vacation Placement with Roke because I wanted to see the kind of work I would be doing if I were to continue with a career in engineering.

Roke is great place to have a summer placement, because you will be working within an existing project team. This not only means that the work you do actually matters, but also you have the opportunity to see a variety of roles available to you as an engineer when you graduate. At the time of my summer placement I had not studied the area which my business unit specialised; this was not a problem as all the people I met were friendly and happy to answer any questions I had.

I would advise anyone who is interested in a Summer Vacation Placement to apply to Roke. Having finished my summer placement I entered my final year with a real focus on where I wanted to go when I graduated. In addition to this, whilst studying in my final year I applied for a graduate position here. I'm pleased to say I recently joined the Company as a Graduate Engineer."
