Defence systems

The capability to collect, process, and disseminate an uninterrupted flow of information while exploiting or denying an adversary's ability to do the same is essential in the modern battlespace.

Networked Enabled Capability (NEC)

With a broad range of technical skills we have a complete insight into the operation of Network Enabled Capability systems so that sensors, commanders, and weapon systems can be successfully linked in the battlespace.

Sensor networks

Our system enables the interconnection of unattended sensors and provides a truly self-organising sensor network:

  • Simple installation
  • Robust operation
  • Long lifetime
  • Embedded webserver
  • Integrates with existing battlefield networks

Resilient networks

"We have a world-leading service and network problem management capability to be proud of."

John Bateman
Cable & Wireless UK.

We specialise in providing resilience to networks where up to 50% damage is sustained in a single blow. Our resilient networks are built upon innovative network protocols which benefit from no packet loss, and no switchover time - both essential for defence networks.

If faults occur, the time to recover is critical. Our Alarm Correlation Tool (SMIT) will trace and find faults quickly and was voted 'Best of Breed' amongst alarm correlation systems available worldwide. By reducing their downtime a commercial customer realised millions of pounds of business benefits through deployment of SMIT.

Electronic warfare

Our focus in this area is delivering in RESM, CESM, ECM and ECCM solutions.
