Anechoic chambers
We have three anechoic chambers on site, one of which is used for pre-compliance testing for handsets and terminals. In addition there are several outdoor test facilities on our 22 acre site.
Mobile handset antenna testing
Our CTIA compliant chamber is capable of meeting the rigorous CTIA over-the-air antenna performance testing requirements which are essential for products for the US market.

General purpose anechoic chamber
The general purpose chamber can be operated in both an internal mode along its 7.5 metre tapered length, or from a remote propagating site through an opening sidewall to achieve large uniform wave-fronts. Lined by AFP18 absorber at the measurement end it achieves a -30dB quiet zone of around 1m³ at a frequency of 2GHz (-42db at 10GHz).
Calibrated sources and antennas are available to permit the measurement of transmitters, receivers and antenna radiation patterns up to 77GHz.
EMC testing: Ferrite lined anechoic chamber
The latest addition to our suite of test facilities is a shielded fully anechoic EMC chamber. Ferrite lined, it allows measurements down to 30MHz and can be used for radiated emissions and immunity testing. It is suitable for making measurements at a distance of 3 metres or less from the equipment under test.
