Digital Array Radar
In partnership with BAE Systems Insyte and QinetiQ we are developing a new Digital Array Radar testbed for the UK ARTIST programme. A similar subsystem is also underway for Lockheed Martin for their US ARTIST testbed.
Phased Array Satcoms
We have worked with Northrop Grumman to develop an advanced phased array antenna to provide satcoms on the move. The antenna produces a high gain electronically steered beam without any moving parts.
Universal Microphone
The Universal Microphone is a novel microphone array capable of picking out sounds in a particular direction. The system therefore receives only the desired sound - ignoring any background noise. Its design overcomes the current limitations of directional microphones which may only be sensitive to a given frequency, and can have ill-defined beam angles.
The Universal Microphone is an ideal tool for outside broadcasts - in particular sporting events where it can be linked to cameras to pick out the relevant sounds.
