Traffic management	With a proven delivery in providing the portal within the congestion charging market Roke can offer a customisable solution for many facets in the traffic management arena. Our ability to import data from any source including camera and tag enables Roke to deliver a timely and adaptable solution whether the requirement is for road user charging or traffic monitoring.

Network management	Roke has successfully developed a bespoke sophisticated alarm correlation system. Congestion Charging System
Challenge	Roke was responsible for architecting and designing a complex 'Instation' element of a congestion charging system for a major European city.
Approach	The system connects the 1000+ cameras on the streets and passes secure encrypted evidential data to the back office billing system. The cameras automatically read number plates and take digital context images which support the charging regime. The system has a full set of management reports and a GUI controlling its behaviour and is supported 24-7 by a dedicated support team
Benefits	In delivering this solution Roke delivered within very challenging timescales a robust and high integrity solution meeting the customers challenging and demanding technical requirements.

Smart Services - Mobile Enterprise
Customer
Challenge	To provide an innovative online address book service, with high performance and capacity and low operational and start-up costs. As a small organisation, Telnic had no in-house technical resources but still required a rapid development with a low associated burn-rate.
Approach	Roke applied expertise in DNS and mobile enterprise to develop the technical concept, provide a turnkey product for the mobile clients, and design the end-to-end technical solution, allowing Telnic to provide a genuinely new service that met all of its goals and achieved a successful roll-out.
Benefits	The .Tel domain service was launched globally on 3rd February 2009. With innovative use of DNS (at the heart of the Internet) a service is provided that is both genuinely different from other domains like .com and is designed for a global market and a global scale. It allows customer-provisioned contact data to be shared across the world, in real time, at low cost, with carrier grade performance and reliability.

	The Service Management Integrator Tool (SMIT) has been in use as a front line management tool of choice with Cable and Wireless since 1997. Its ability for rapid root cause failure analysis increases productivity of operational staff and reduces revenue loss on service affecting faults by identifying those that should be fixed first. The alarm correlation across network domains enables the cross reference of network and customer reported faults whilst eliminating duplicate investigation work which inevitably leads to improved customer satisfaction.
