Andrew is Innovation Director for Roke Manor Research, one of the UK’s longest established engineering research specialists in AI, cyber security, data science and communications. Prior to this, Andrew was vice president of CGI UK’s cyber security business which he helped to create in 2014.
Andrew was previously seconded into the Cabinet Office’s Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance, authoring the UK’s first cyber export strategy and providing technical insight into the National Cyber Security Programme. Andrew has held senior roles in technology firms QinetiQ and Logica, as well as strategic advisory firms DS&S, Charteris and ESYS, covering defence, security and space market sectors.
Andrew is a member of Royal Bank of Scotland’s Technology Advisory Board and a main board member of TechUK, the UK’s leading technology trade association. Andrew is an evangelist for innovation and cybersecurity, focusing on building tech teams, creating solutions that solve real-world problems and building bridges between boardrooms and technologists.
